From Headwall Road in the Squaw Valley ski resort--on a late summer hike! (We rode the summertime tramway to gain a couple of thousand feet elevation.) Sierra Nevada, California, looking pretty much east. Lake Tahoe is visible in the distance on the left. The Alpine Meadows ski resort, which is now also owned by Squaw Valley, is in the valley behind the ridge with the snow patch.
