Heading up Thomas Creek road into the Gearhart Mountains of south-central Oregon. Yes, I had to bail out partway thru!

Overlooking the Chewaucan River, in the Gearhart Mountains of south-central Oregon upstream from the village of Paisley. The Chewaucan is another landlocked river. It flows into saline Lake Abert, and indeed is the lake's main water source We're looking north here. Turns out "Chewaucan" is pronounced, more or less, "SHEE-wuh-cahn."

Oregon. A tributary to the Chewaucan River in the Gearhart Mtns, in the south-central part of the state. This year Dairy Creek is running fuller than the Chewaucan usually does!
