Below Horsetail Falls, right at the boundary of the Desolation Wilderness, Sierra Nevada, California. The proximity to US 50 meant it was hard to get a photo without people! ;)

In California's Sierra Nevada just north of US 50, about 5 miles west of Echo Summit. Altho it's barely inside the Desolation Wilderness, and you're even supposed to get a day permit to hike to it, its proximity to the main highway means it's _not_ the wilderness experience! It's a pretty falls and creek even so, tho--
