As in "snowy!" Kingston Canyon, Toiyabe Range, looking downcanyon from the trailhead for the Toiyabe Crest Trail. This is that late-season snowfall on Memorial weekend 2012 that had all melted away again in a couple of days. If the snow weren't covering it, the Toiyabe Crest Trail would be visible on that distant slope. David--you've got almost this same pic without the snow!

Pine Forest Range, Nevada, USA. We were puzzled by the "threshold", and finally figured that's what the sign painter thought "T.H." stood for. Presumably it should be "trailhead!"
