Now King's Canyon Road outside Carson City, Nevada. Some of the original stone retaining walls can still be seen, in this case right below the rockfall that now blocks the route.

This is what blocks the original alignment of the Lincoln Highway. It resulted from an intense rainstorm and flood around New Year's 1997. Nothing bigger than an ATV can get through now, and apparently the US Forest Service (which is in charge of the road now) plans to leave it that way.
