On display at Ft. Churchill State Park, Nevada, USA. It's on loan from the Churchill County Museum and is said to "reflect early farming in Nevada." This evidently is a Fordson tractor.

Washington state, USA, looking northeasterly. This area is noted for its agricultural productivity, originally mostly orchards but now including lots of vineyards. They also grow some hops. We're on the grounds of a winery looking out over an apple orchard. The crops are watered by irrigation from the Yakima River (itself tributary to the Columbia) and its tributaries. It drains eastward off the Cascade Mountains. "Yakima" is pronounced YAK-i-mah, btw. It's also the name of the local Native American tribe.

Sagebrush in the immediate foreground (not a crop!), alfalfa in the middle distance. The sprinklers watering the cornfield are visible in the far distance below the cliff.
Metropolis

Metropolis is another unusual Nevada ghost town. It was an early 20th-century attempt to grow wheat in the sage lands near Wells. It had cratered by the mid 1930s due to low agricultural prices and conflicts over water rights.
With the recent run-up in grain prices, though, it makes you wonder if the idea is worth another look, particularly with modern drought-tolerant strains...
