Washoe Lake showing the effects of (a) the continued snowmelt; and (b) the Washoe Zephyr! Inset shows this dock & ramp back in February, 4 months ago almost to the day. The lake has risen another couple of feet or so since then, and there continue to be flood warnings on local streams and creeks due to snowmelt from the now-hot weather.

The title isn't _completely_ facetious--people were actually surfing during a bigger storm a week later. The waves get that big only every ten years or so.
