Inclined shaft, the main portal for the Berlin mine, Berlin, Nevada. A skip is still present on the rails, but the shaft has been blocked off with wire mesh (which has in turn collected a few tumbleweeds!)

Probably also the Antelope Mine. This shaft would intersect the adit coming in from the east.
