In the foothills just east of Washoe Valley, Nevada. This fire was started by power lines sparking in a high wind.

Just after the outbreak, north of Skinner Lane at the north side of New Washoe City. It was extremely windy (hardly unusual in Washoe Valley), and the powerline wires had touched, dropping sparks into the sagebrush.
