The Netherlands had a bewildering number of speed limits on the motorways for cars: 130 km/h, 120 km/h, 100 km/h, 100 km/h between 7am and 7pm, even on the same road, resulting in fines if you forgot which speed limit was applicable. Now it is all 100 km/h because politicians mishandled nitrogen oxide pollution.

The speed limit for tractors on the public road used to be 16 km/h (10 mph) in The Netherlands and tractors had to have this sign on the front and back. Nowadays tractors have grown in size and drive around at breakneck speeds.
