These wooden figures were in the belfry of the tower of the City Hall to strike the bells. The first generation were placed in 1530, the second generation in 1629 and these were the third generation, placed in 1768. They were removed in 1875. They represent the Sun, Moon and a star. Every generation is different. The present versions, called Langlois, Lansquenet and Flandrin (representing the old enemies Spain, England and Flanders), date from 2002.
