Museum Willet-Holthuysen dates from 1685-1687, although it was changed over the years. The last inhabitant was Louisa Willet-Holthuysen, who left the house to the city of Amsterdam. It is a museum since 1896.

The Pittock Mansion was built by Henry Pittock. He was born in England, but he moved with his family to the USA in 1839. He arrived barefoot and without a cent in Portland in 1853. He got a job as a typesetter at the Oregonian, which he took over and launched as a daily newspaper in 1861. From there his fortune grew and at his death in 1919 his estate was worth around 7 million dollars. In 1909-1914 he built this mansion in the West Hills of Portland. It was nearly demolished in 1962, but nowadays it is a museum.

Windmill De Valk (The Falcon) was built in 1743. It was a grain milling mill. The last miller Willem van Rhijn died in 1964. The windmill became a museum in 1966. The interior dates from the end of the 19th century.
