Originally a grammar school founded in the 16th century. Rebuilt and expanded in 1735–1739 by the architect C.-J. de Bettignies. Two wings were added in 1900–1904 by the architect Puchot. Now the Mons Polytechnic Faculty and the Earth and Materials museum.
