The student of the Dutch language who has learnt the word for cyclist (fietsers) and the word for moustache (snor), might be surprised by the word snorfietsers, apparantly meaning cyclists with a moustache, which are not allowed to enter this street. Snorfietsers has a different meaning, it means people on a low-speed moped (Vmax 25 km/h). Snorren can also mean to whirr, an imitation of the sound of the engine.
