Originally a cloister, later a almshouse. Diederik Sonoy, a Dutch leader in the 80 Years’ War, also lived here for a while. Now also a restaurant.

The building dates from the 14th century, originally a chapel, redeveloped to a weigh house in 1582–1583.

Handel - Brandstoffen

The Maatschappij tot Nut van ‘t Algemeen (Society for Public Welfare) was founded in 1784. They wanted to enlighten en improve individuals and society by education, but later they also founded institutions, such as the bank Nutsspaarbank in 1818. The bank later became part of Fortis and then ABN Amro.

The building dates from 1906.

Closed down, the children didn't want to take it over.
