Michiel 2005's photos with the keyword: pantheon

It might look not very impressive or more like an empty lot, but it is in fact the Pantheon, constructed under the emperor Hadrian in the second century AD. Later it became part of the fortifications of Athens.

They were assassinated in 1908 on the Praça do Comércio in Lisbon, known as the Lisbon Regicide. Two years later the monarchy was dissolved.

Members of the Portuguese royal house of Braganze are buried.

Originally the Church of Santa Engrácia. Building started in 1681 and it was completed in 1966, so a work on the Saint Engrácia has become an expression in Portugal for an endless construction project. Now it houses the graves of Portuguese heroes.
