Grutto in Dutch. They are migrating birds, so they only spend a short time in the Netherlands, but they do tend to breed here, so habitat loss means that there are fewer godwits in the world.

I think this is a Grutto, in English known as Black-tailed Godwit. Here you can see him employed as a streetlight inspector.
