When you want to live in Leiden, you have to introduce yourself by placing boards with your picture on the main streets.

The Baker's Alley is now a big thoroughfare called Pelikaanstraat (Pelican Street). The thoroughfare was created in the 1960s to make way for the cars. Now the cars are unwanted and city council of Leiden is trying to prevent people from driving into the city.
