When Paulina Bisdom van Vliet died in 1922, she stipulated in her will that her house should be a museum. Her father had built the house from 1874 to 1877. He died before he could live there. The museum has a great collection of porcelain, furniture, clothes, silver and cristal.

Bloemendaal is the richest town in the Netherlands. Lots of big houses. I stayed here for about two weeks to look after two small cats. There buildings were part of the largest estate of Bloemendaal Wildhoef. Founded by a wealthy clergyman. The big white building is the former coach house, the building on the left is the former house for the staff.
