Celebration of the centenary of Haarlem Railway St…

31 Aug 2008 180
See the movie: www.youtube.com/watch?v=oDsghrs09UE There used to be more shunting tracks at Zandvoort and before a turning circle to turn the engine, but nowadays with push-pull trains and EMUs the train driver simply has to walk to the other end of the train. Haarlem has a beautiful art-deco railway station. It celebrates its 100th year this year. On Saturday August 30, 2008 celebrations were held at the station. Two steam locomotives and two old electric ones made their appearance and drove all days between Haarlem and the sea-side town Zandvoort. There were some other old and new trains too.
