This is the square before we started (we were ready way before the official start time of noon--that's the ocean behind our tent, it runs under the pier at that point).

We had a preview chalk-art session this morning at Lincoln for the Chalk It Up! event on Saturday--this is my "Frida" (based on a 1930 self-portrait).

I did two more Fridas for the chalk art festival today--had planned to do copies from other women artists, but the Fridas were popular and well-suited to chalking. This one was a 2x2 square. The easel above shows the image I was working from.
