This is from a few years ago--I posted the wig here, but not the full costume. It's the season when folks are looking for costume ideas on Flickr, so here's the complete look. All the stuff is from our various closets except the wig, which I made. She's carrying one of her brother's plastic keyboards. The "Push" button is for the school's wax museum event, where creative costuming is encouraged.

Contained sundried tomato pesto, pinenuts, garlic, olive oil, and grated parmesan. Delicious, very moist.

All homemade, no purchases required--the hat is crocheted from stash yarn; the shell is a roll of foam rubber, spraypainted and held together with duct tape; strapped on using some old AFO velcro straps. Costume was inspired by the snail character in the "Frog and Toad" books by Arnold Lobel.
