I made this card for a friend's daughter, who's having a baby shower this week. Image is from my own family albums--I don't know who mother or baby are, but they're so sweet. Background watercolor is from scrap paper in our school art room; there's also a leftover painted strip of cardboard, and two punched pieces held on with a brad, and some machine sewing, ink, rubberstamping.

I was asked to make a group card for a friend who's moving away from our beach town, into the mountains. The photo of women at the beach in 1908 is from the State Library of New South Wales uploads to Flickr Commons. The card also includes art papers, inks, sharpies, brads, felt, dental floss, stickers, rubber stamping, and painted cardboard.

Used patterned cardstock, old greeting cards, a pressed flower, two sizes of circle punches.

What to do with your holiday cards after the holidays. Just need a circle punch and some adhesive (gluestick or rubber cement). Easy enough for young children--no scissors or measuring involved.

Made this for my dad. Photos is Scottish singer Harry Lauder, from the Library of Congress. Backgrounds are recycled cardboard, painted and inked.
