All half-double crochet, with two colors in each stitch in body. Lined with maroon rayon from an old blouse. The button is vintage, from my great-aunt's box of buttons.

I took this because my brother was so entertained by my interest in fall leaves, after many years living away from the Northeast.

This is an outrageously silly hat--it'll fit me, but it's probably best worn by a kid. In fact, daughter wore it tonight at the fireworks--we figured there was no way she'd get lost in the crowds in a hat like this! I was just messing around crocheting again--the "flower" is just a circle gone wrong, for example.
