This building in Upper Street, Islington currently occupied by Superdry caught my eye on my January visit to the area. One of the main reasons for my latest visit was to photograph it which takes some planning. The road between Angel and Islington Green is busy with vehicles, cyclists and pedestrians from the earliest hour even on a Sunday. I was prepared to shoot in low light to avoid these potential obstacles to a distraction free picture. This wonderful building started life in 1850 as a tram station. It was later converted in to an electricity substation before closure and a period of lying derelict. From 1979-2008 it was The Mall Antiques Arcade and, in 2013, became a Jack Wills shop before becoming Superdry in 2014. 200_2_P1020858
