In my opinion, the development by Vivarail of the D-train, now designated Class 230, is one of the most exciting events in the current UK rail world. When one must remain outside a site, one takes what pictures one can if any is possible. Whatever this might lack in composition, it makes up for in historical interest as heavy rail and light come together at Quinton Rail Technology Centre, Long Marston.
