I thought long and hard about the inclusion of this concluding shot from my series but wanted a simple picture to emphasise the sheer size of HMS Queen Elizabeth as she passed Fort Blockhouse on the way to sea. I also liked the wake in the foreground as a way of solidifying the image. I usually work with more than one camera available so as not to miss shots and so, as Queen Elizabeth filled just about any frame at this point, I switched from my Nikon DSLR to the very capable TZ70. For this part of the departure, there were three other tugs in attendanceT with Tempest at the bow and Indulgent and Independent astern. The Merlin is ZH837.
