As I prepared for what, at the time of posting, appeared to be an impending new lockdown, I picked up this Vesta meal with a little smile on my face. To be honest, I bought it as much to photograph it as eat it and I had been surprised to find that the brand still exists. When I was much younger, Chinese and Indian restaurants and takeaways were much less widespread than today and their respective cuisines were slightly exotic. This was a meal I could cook for myself but results were mixed because the crispy noodles required very hot, shallow fat and partially cooked noodles were, to say the least, very hard. 200_4_P1000938CE
