Terminal 1 closed in June 2015 and I shall not be able to follow the development of the site as closely as I have other projects. Today's visit was rather disappointing then in that, externally, it looks pretty much the same and only from the Underground concourse was the view changed thus giving me just one photograph. I imagine they are decommissioning the inside of the terminal before demolition gets under way in earnest. 200_2_P1060289E

There was by now only a trickle of passengers to and from Terminal 1 but I still had to wait patiently for the people-free shots I wanted to emphasise the emptiness of these last days. 200_2_P1050320

It seems strange now but the structures in this picture are relatively recent in the long history of Terminal 1.
