ZA296 - A Final Role (1) - 25 July 2021

Former Royal Navy Westland Sea King HC.4 ZA296 arrived at Fareham College - CEMAST in July 2021. CEMAST is, as it happens, on a site which was once part of RNAS Lee on Solent (HMS Daedalus) and is adjacent to the smaller Solent Airport of today. I understand that this airframe is one of several sold in about 2017 to the Pakistan Navy. Whilst the others travelled to Pakistan, ZA296 was stripped of spares and remained in the UK. It was donated to CEMAST to, reportedly, allow engineering students to practice patching.
