BA A320 G-EUUI framed by the wing and rear fuselage of B747-400 G-BNLY. As of 19 May 2020, well into the coronavirus crisis, there were reported to be 40 British Airways aircraft stored at Bournemouth comprising 13 A319s, 16 A320s, 6 A321s and 5 B747-400s. To see them was a sobering and emotional sight. All 5 747s are featured in this series. TZ70_P1020235CE

This edit in b&w with the foreground retained is the central photograph to my series, capturing, I hope, the sombre nature of the subject. TZ70_P1020227M1

Tragically, it might well have been my last as the type is not expected to return to passenger service, the withdrawal under way having been accelerated by the events of 2020. TZ70_P1020227R1_C
