Wrapped Attention After an hiatus of four years, I was back in Palm Springs at the right time for my third visit to a McCormick's Palm Springs Collector Car Auction, their 67th. The arrival day, a Thursday, provides an opportunity for relaxed viewing before the lot gets too crowded. I sought out my favourite types. High on my list of favourites was this 1964 Volkswagen 21 Window Samba Microbus. It might seem counter-intuitive to photographic style but I wanted to include the wrapping and I have, quite unintentionally, gained a reflection which is nearly photographic in its own right. Several of the gathering vehicles were similarly wrapped perhaps against the possibility of dust from overnight showers. This bus had the additional protection of a precious canopy space. 200_3_P1110815CE
