There are only 52 (or occasionally 53) Sundays in a year and only on a few can I avail myself of the opportunities afforded by them for uncluttered photography. On such a Sunday, I walked from Barbican to Cannon Street station and saw some remarkable things along the way. London has (in my opinion) been damaged as much as it has been developed but its streets, if not paved with gold, are studded with scattered gems. On the corner of Giltspur Street and Cock Lane is a statuette notable more than anything for its accompanying history. Who knew that the Great Fire of London was, at one time, attributed to the 'Sin of Gluttony'? Golden Boy
