This bench is on a small piece of land in Redlynch at the confluence of Bowers Hill and Kiln Lane at the junction of the former with the B3080. The land also has a war memorial. The plaque on the bench reads "This Bench is dedicated to the Memory to those Men of this Community who gave their lives In the Great War 1914-18 11 November 2018" A number of such memorials appeared around Britain in the centenary year of the ending of World War One.
