This is one of two related photographs which have left me baffled and frustrated. The preserved tramcar is in the courtyard of an establishment named Amasterdam (sic), the spelling of which can clearly be seen, and might be presumed to be a refugee from the near-eponymous city. Although I have stood in that very courtyard, I can find absolutely no information about an establishment of that name (just off Front Street in Philipsburg) nor about a preserved tram in Philipsburg or, indeed, St. Maarten. 200_3_P1100499
