The Anglican Church (1820) in Roseau, Dominica has not fared well in recent decades. It was severely damaged by Hurricane David in 1979 and the roof was again destroyed by Hurricane Maria in 2017. I am fascinated by ruins as photographic subjects but this site is doubly important for having next to it the wonderfully moving Neg (also Nèg) Mawon Emancipation Monument which features prominently later in my pictures. 200_3_P1100359E
