Although Viking seems like a newcomer to ocean cruising, operations are already nearly four years old and Viking Sea, pictured here in San Juan, nearly three. In these days of larger ships carrying 5-6000 passengers, the Viking model of around 930 is a welcome relief. Viking Sea was on a West Indies Explorer itinerary and would depart in the evening for Road Town, Tortola. This picture opens a new sequence in which I continue to pursue my objective of photographing as many cruise ships as possible in as many ports as possible. 200_3_P1090913CE
