The Rowans Hospice shop, 49 West Street, Fareham has on its west facing wall a ghost sign for 'The Home and Colonial Tea Stores'. This view shows the east facing wall and neighbouring businesses. The building I assume to date from the second half of the 19th century. The starkly modern frontage of the present day shop has itself been refreshed with a fascia replacing an earlier version with a different font on background of a darker green.
