VW Export Limousine (1949) Dieser VW 'Käfer' stammt aus der ersten Modelreihe, die bei BW seit 1949 für den Export produziert wurde. Deutsches Museum Verkehrszentrum, München This VW Beetle is from the first series of the model to be manufactured for export when production resumed after WWII. It is, perhaps, surprising that work resumed at Wolfsburg (with the manufacture of the engine for the Schwimmwagen) as soon as 1946. This was very difficult to photograph in a hall crowded with exhibits and with people pausing at nearby displays. The slow shutter speed betrays the lighting conditions and the colour rendition is the best I could achieve after editing. 200_3_P1090397E
