Situated opposite the Mill Lane junction on Langstone Road (Langstone/Havant), the Railway Cottages comprised two buildings once including the crossing keeper's cottage for this part of the Hayling Billy Line (closed November 1963). Fire broke out on 15 November 2018 and again on 8 December 2018, the latter incident destroying the property. I greatly regret this on more than one level as I had been aware of the building but, until the fires, completely unaware of its history.
