More than four years after my last visit to the Great Central Railway, it was worth braving persistent rain to provide an updated document of the state of preservation at Loughborough Central. Steam and diesel benefit equally from the excellent work there. The poor conditions did not seem to harm this portrait of LMS Fowler Class 3F (Jinty) 47406. More than 400 Jintys were built and 9 are preserved, this example having lasted from 1926-1966 before withdrawal and eventual preservation. 200_3_P1080995
