Without being in the secure area of the port there is only so much one can see at Southampton and that is from the vantage point of Mayflower Park. As the coronavirus crisis continued, the shipping at berths 101 - 106 provided a feast for the eyes on a June Friday.
From the camera are RCCL Empress of the Seas (101) which had arrived from Berry Islands, Bahamas on crew repatriation, the familiar sight of Grimaldi Line vehicle carrier Grande Mediterraneo (102), TUI's Marella Explorer (104) which, given the current situation, has been a recent local wanderer and Carnival Breeze (106). Not visible in this shot is the superyacht Dilbar (105) which arrived during the evening of 4 June.

A visit to dry dock at Falmouth for the Grimaldi Lines vehicle carrier Grande America afforded an unusual opportunity to look along the outside deck from the stern.

Ship watchers at Southampton and on the Solent will be familiar with the shape of frequent visitors, Grimaldi Lines' vehicle carriers. In this shot of Grande America in dry dock at Falmouth, the shape and bulk are accentuated and a rather awkwardly taken photograph looks quite dramatic.

Silver Cloud at Southampton (2) - 9 June 2013

Although Royal Princess should have been in the limelight on its inaugural visit to Southampton, it was not well positioned for a photograph and I preferred to concentrate on Silversea's Silver Cloud which had arrived from Cherbourg and would depart to Copenhagen. As you can see, the bunker vessel Whitonia was in attendance so my shot is a record of a typical Southampton scene rather than the intended portrait. The Grimaldi Lines vehicle carrier Grande Italia, a regular visitor, had arrived from Valencia.
