In March 2018 the sad but, arguably, inevitable scrapping of the SRN4 hovercraft 'The Princess Margaret' commenced. Some parts had been removed from this long time resident of the Hovercraft Museum at Lee on Solent to be used for 'The Princess Anne', now the sole survivor of the six SRN4s built. For the transport enthusiast and supporter of preservation, any such event is hard to watch and it seemed truly brutal as the excavator tore bits off a once imposing machine. TZ30_P1040997CE
