This photograph has been planned for many months but thwarted on several occasions by a lack of legal parking, traffic conditions and, latterly, parked vehicles in front of it. The bins are hardly attractive but seem now to be a permanent feature. Westminster Bank merged with National Provincial Bank in 1968 and the resulting National Westminster Bank started trading in 1970 so it is slightly remarkable (and exciting) that the outline of the words 'Westminster Bank Limited' can be seen at 188A Kennington Park Road, London, SE11 to this very day. 200_3_P1000578
