This slightly amusing photograph, which quite inadvertently caught the one bird with a foot in the air, required a lot of research before determining that these are Indian Silverbills. They were observed in Parc Phoenix, Nice as long ago as 2004. I saw them on Promenade des Anglais only a short distance from the park. 200_3_P1000092C
