The Helston Railway operates seasonally on a restored section of the original Helston Railway which ran from Helston to Gwinear Road on the main line.
Although officially closed until mid-December, I was allowed access to take my photographs and I am very grateful for the happy quarter of an hour I spent at Prospidnick.
This is a view north from the temporary platform at Prospidnick towards the present day Trevarno Farm and in the direction of Gwinear Road. One proposal is to extend the line over the section visible in this picture to a station at the farm.

I was especially happy to see the railway's preserved Park Royal Class 103 dmu. I love preserved dmus and this class was small with only 20 sets built. Moreover, the two cars of this unit W50413 (nearer camera) and W56169 are two of only three in preservation.
