Possibly the most unusual vehicle on display at the Los Angeles Auto Show was the Spira4u (known initially as simply Spira), the 'foam' car. The inventor Lon Ballard is dedicated to reducing vehicle related passenger and pedestrian deaths and injuries. Spira4u comes in petrol and electric versions. TZ30_P1030495
