This subset is intended as a companion to my 'Aspects of Manhattan', photographs taken when the only way to look is up. Early morning light, although creating some problems for the camera, made many of San Francisco's buildings look spectacular. The Transamerica Pyramid (built between 1969 and 1972) is one of the most famous and I doubt that my photograph adds much to the countless thousands of images of it but it pleases me. The adjacent building, in a style common in New York and which I like very much, is at 550 Montgomery Street. P1190072
