I went to McLean Park, Napier out of interest in cricket grounds. It stages test cricket and rugby union. Access was not really possible on my visit (at least from Morris Street) but an unexpected joy within the ground was a magnificent piece of 1930s architecture in the form of the Borough Pumping Station. This was actually the best view I could get but the whole building was a delight. 200_2_P1030611
