There is quite a lot to note in this photograph of Stagecoach ADL Enviro 400 bodied Trident 2 19063/404DCD 'The Pink Lady II' (formerly MX56FSP) at the Hovertravel Terminal (Clarence Pier), Southsea from where it was operating the Hoverbus service. In addition to an overall scheme for Cancer Research UK the vehicle is displaying a poppy and has the social distancing stickers which have become a symbol of public transport in 2020. The registration is a cherished memory of Southdown and was originally carried by a Northern Counties bodied Leyland Titan PD3/4. 200_4_P1010028CE

Sunday 3 December 2017 saw an extensive programme of rail replacement services, involving several operators, run from Havant station as trains did not run between Southampton and Havant or Havant and Barnham. The many vehicles involved did include some in Stagecoach corporate colours but the only vehicle of that company I captured in my short visit was this ADL Enviro 400 bodied Trident 2 19881/GX11AKF in South Downs Connection scheme. It is waiting at the station to operate to Barnham. Seen behind is Brighton & Hove 632/YN04GKE, an East Lancs bodied Scania N94UD OmniDekka. 200_3_P1040061R

My followers will know that I find the current London bus scene pretty tedious and that it requires special surges of enthusiasm to make me record it. Every now and then documentary dedication defeats deadly dullness and I add a little to the record. To be fair, the actual service seems both intensive and, largely, effective as I saw early on a Sunday morning when countless buses were running in Islington. Relatively light traffic (for the area) made photography easier and I saw vehicles from no fewer than four operators. This is Arriva Enviro 400 bodied ADL Trident 2 T153/LJ60AWA on southbound route 341 at Angel. 200_2_P1020843
